February 6, 2019 //  by Sophia//  Leave a Comment

Boston, Massachusetts is one of the most historical cities in the United States, home to sites like the famous Freedom Trail and Paul Revere House. Adding Boston to your travel plans is a must, especially when you live in nearby New York. And what better way to experience this historic city than to sign up for a cheap 2 day Boston tour from New York?

Exploring the city by bus not only alleviates the travel planning process, but also eliminates the need for your own car. Anyone living in New York has plenty of options for Boston tours, so how do you choose the right one? If you’re signing up for a bus tour through Boston, be sure to find one with these 5 must-see attractions included on the itinerary.

Fenway Park

Even if you’re not a sports enthusiast, every Boston itinerary should include a stop at Fenway Park. Baseball is one of America’s favorite past times, and this impressive stadium has been around since 1912. Whether the Boston Red Sox are playing or not, you’ll appreciate the stunning architecture and pristine greenery of the field.

Ideally a trip to Boston would include seeing the Red Sox play, but you can still sign up for a tour of the facility even outside of baseball season. During a Fenway Park tour you’ll learn about the team’s history and the infamous Curse of the Great Bambino.

Paul Revere House

Any avid history lover will greatly appreciate a tour through the Paul Revere House. You’ll be transported back to the simpler days of the 1700’s. Come see what is was like to live hundreds of years ago and learn about Revere’s role in the Boston Tea Party. Since the house is located on the Freedom Trail, you can easily make this stop amidst seeing other Boston attractions.

Boston Symphony Orchestra

The Boston Symphony Orchestra can even be enjoyed for those of us who are not music aficionados. The building originated in 1881 and perfectly exemplifies the architecture of that time. With almost 200 performances a year, chances are there will be a show during your time in Boston.

Boston Common

Boston Common is not only the most expansive green space in the city it also served as a rally location during the Revolutionary War. As the oldest public park in the country, Boston Common attracts visitors from all over the world. If you’re bringing young kids along with you, be sure to stop at the Frog Pond or Tadpole Playground on a sunny day.

Freedom Trail

The best way to explore a number of popular attraction in Boston is by taking a tour along the Freedom Trail. It starts at Boston Common and stretches 2.5 miles through the city. During your time spent on the trail you’ll get the chance to see Old North Church, the Paul Revere House, and Faneuil Hall Marketplace.

The best way to experience it is by signing up for a tour with your very own tour guide dressed in traditional 18-century garb. Tours typically last 90 minutes and provide in-depth information on the Revolutionary War.
