Deep Sideboard
When we created the DEEP sideboard, we set out to make a piece of furniture that could anchor the room. All five sides are made from quartered American walnut veneered panels that are 1.25" thick and are seamlessly joined. This creates an illusion of a solid block and enables it to stand alone in the middle of a room. A beveled, solid walnut edging frames the perimeter of the opening. The white, back painted glass doors, framed in anodized aluminum with only 1/16" of frame visible, open with a touch. Three center drawers are constructed of solid walnut with dovetail joints and have a soft close feature. The flanking sides have adjustable shelving and openings in the bottom for wire management. The base is solid steel with mirror polished nickel finish.
