Penny, The Fly Birdie Fly Bag. Hanknit, Felted, Embroidered
Hey there, I’m Penny the ‘Fly Birdie Fly’ Bag.
I’ve been lovingly hand-knit with 100% wool. The majority of the me is made with wool from one of Canada’s oldest woolen mills, Briggs and Little, and the rest of me is done in New Zealand wool. My colours are lovely – I’m mostly a pale-grey, followed by a great pistachio-green and THEN at the top I become a bright-cream colour. Then I was felted (which ‘felt’ good, hehe) to make me strong and sturdy for holding all your scrumptious belongings.
I have a little friend embroidered on me, a happy little bird taking flight. He is embroidered in cream yarn. He likes to remind me that I too am a free spirit just like him. I hope he tells you too.
I am a wonderful size, there is SO much space for all your essentials and then more space for your luxuries. You can easily carry a book, a notebook, a water bottle, makeup, purse, glasses case and a small camera and more in me. Oh the adventures we will have. Here are my measurements: I am 8†tall, 11†wide (at the top), my base is 5†deep and my straps 8†at the peak (plenty of room for you to swing me over your shoulder.
**Please feel free to take out a measuring tape and have a good think about what size I am**
And I have further handmade elements! I close with a lovely button and crocheted loop. The button is fabric-covered and embroidered. The fabric is a green plaid and the embroidery provides a fun little splash of colour with a bright red flower. I even have a fabric-covered base to keep my shape and to keep you looking gooood.
I can’t wait for us free spirits to unite :o)
